Fighting system

A firefighting system is an activity of prevention during a fire spread in building, home or warehouse with the use of proper fire safety equipment like extinguisher, hose reels, fire monitors, nozzles and hosepipes.

To prevent and suppress unwanted fires by rendering prompt and efficient services so as to keep the loss of life and property to the minimum.

Fire extinguishers

A fire extinguisher is a handheld active fire protection device usually filled with a dry or wet chemical used to extinguish or control small fires, often in emergencies.

A fire extinguisher consists of a hand-held cylindrical pressure vessel containing an agent that can be discharged to extinguish a fire. Fire extinguishers manufactured with non-cylindrical pressure vessels also exist but are less common.

Hose pipe & Nozzles

A fire hose (or firehose) is a high-pressure hose that carries water or other fire retardants (such as foam) to a fire to extinguish it. Outdoors, it attaches either to a fire engine or a fire hydrant. Indoors, it can permanently attach to a building’s standpipe or plumbing system.

The operational pressure of a fire hose generally fluctuates between 8 and 20 bar (or 800 to 2000 kPa or 116 to 290 psi), with a potential to withstand a burst pressure of up to 72 bar (or 7200 kPa or 1036 psi).

Fire Monitors

The monitors can be used for any situation where the application of water or firefighting foam on the hazard area is required, it is specifically useful for flammable liquid large spills and tank fires.

To fight bigger fires, which give out large amount of radiation, it is necessary to throw water/ foam in sufficient quantity from a safe distance. As explained above, it is impossible to do this using handline branches.

Fixed monitors provide the solution as they can project water/ foam further due to the higher quantity of agent, and their design and installation allows the back thrust to be handled safely.
